Back in April I wrote a piece about 2nd Chance Negotiations, a loan modification company (now working under the name Superior Mortgages). I wrote about them because I was scammed. I turned to them because they were recommended by trusted people in the industry and it was back in November. Well before Obama was elected and any government programs were available. She posted the e-mail she received from Huff Post on her "blog" and added a cute little statement to it. Re: 2nd chance legal services

You need JavaScript enabled to view it Date: Mon, 6 Apr 2009 7:09 am HI, I’m a editor at Huffington Post and have been investigating 2nd Chance Legal Services ever since one family I featured wrote me about them a couple weeks ago. I found Sheena Polischuk’s blogs about 2nd Chance on your blog and wanted to follow up. Do you have a way of contacting Polischuk? Thanks, Matt She coyly adds in her blog post: We were unable to accommodate you, as you recall, as we keep all our consumers’ information completely confidential. However, you went ahead and used our research anyway.
I guess it would have been to much work to contact Polischuk and pass on the information. You know for “the cause.” The greater good is only greater when people do things that are well … good. It rarely involves self righteous acts that benefit only one egomaniac. I'm still not sure how discussing the illegal activity of a company is jeopardizing your “customers” confidentiality. I'm equally confused as to why they claim the research and information that's freely available on the web somehow belongs to them. I guess we all make our choices. We decided to help people in our situation by coming forward publicly and talking about it to national newspapers that reach millions of people. Erin Baldwin decided that she (not her “clients”) were better served shrouded in secrecy and anonymity. In a completely self serving twist, after proudly denying the editor of the Huffington Post her valuable and top secret information she has the audacity to post this whiny comment on the article she refused to contribute to: The most critical element to this story is missing. Warren Quann, Esq.'s legal license was the reason why 2nd Chance was able to scam so many because the CA Foreclosure Consultants Act doesn't prohibit "attorneys" from taking up-front fees like it does foreclosure consultants. Post-Quann, Michael Kessler stepped in as token attorney for Superior Properties. Kessler's brother, Daniel Kessler, represents the notorious Parsa Law Group, National Loan Modification Center, HomeForeClosure Fighter and 321 Foreclosures.
Any article that doesn't address this "lawyer loophole" is an affront to consumers as they're using their "perceived prestige" to lure them into their loan mod scams. There is no legal representation, they're just a front; it's hideous. This article contributes to the myth that loan mods are all ex-mortgage hacks and back-alley criminals. Wrong. This article explains why the CA Attorney General and CA State Bar are turning a blind eye to the insidious lawyer component. Please revise this article to tell the whole truth to warn consumers about false "law firms" and bogus "attorneys." If not, it will only serve to perpetuate the fraud you pretend to expose. Bad Biz Finder So she refuses to offer helpful information to a newspaper that reaches millions of people, politicians, attorneys, and Attorney Generals? She also chastises the reporter and takes credit for an article that offered a tremendous amount of information to people in this situation. Instead, she has a tantrum in the comments drawing away from the importance of the article and flashing a big neon “Look at me” sign.
