Obama: We are not a Christian Nation

I am not a history major so I admit I’m no expert on history scenarios, but didn't the United States get started by people fleeing England so they could practice their version of Christianity, which would be Protestantism, since the English Monarchy was Catholic and was persecuting people for not aligning with their ideals?

Wasn't this country founded on very strong religious, once again Christian, grounds with the knowledge one could be free to practice their own beliefs?

Is it not true that the majority of the most important documents of our country, put forth by our forefathers contained some sort of mention of God, i.e "In God we trust", "One nation under God" and so forth? True, when our forefathers completed these documents there was no mention of who that God is, whether it's the Judeo-Christian God, Islam's Allah, or Buddha, etc., but it is generally understood to be the Christian example of God, considering most Americans at that time were Christian, whether Catholic or Protestant.

Barack Obama has recently repeatedly stated that the United States is NOT a Christian nation and yesterday in Cairo, in his speech he went so far as to say we are one of the largest Muslim countries!

I am starting to think Obama is on a mission to destroy our country because he disagrees with the fundamental ideas this country was built on. At the beginning of his presidency I was willing to give him a chance to show me I am wrong and do what he said he would do during his campaign, but he has backed down on several campaign promises and is becoming ever more masterful at double-speak. I hate to say this but I think in the near future we will be the antithesis of the picture for our country our forefathers had. Obama is going around the world and apologizing for our retaliatory attacks that were in response to attacks perpetrated upon us first, such as the USS Cole and the attacks at the embassies in Tanzania and Kenya.

Yes there have been times I feel we should have not intervened but more times than not we have either been attacked or have more than just a financial interest in getting involved in these skirmishes such as stability in the regions involved and human rights violations, it's not just oil and drugs, though I admit I believe there have been some times when those may have been the deciding factors.

Obama is putting this country on its knees for the rest of the world to gather strength and once again attack us, it has become a matter of not if, but when we will be attacked on our soil again.
