Won’t blink she says? Won’t blink if we need to invade Russia? We blinked in 1963 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. We blinked a lot. We had better have blinked.

If Palin had at least known what the Bush Doctrine was, which is being used today to order cross-border raids on Pakistan. When ABC’s Charlie Gibson asked her to define the Bush Doctrine Palin answered, “His world view.”

I think she confused “Doctrine” with “Manifesto.”

I can’t even begin to do this snippet justice. Take a look for yourself.

Did she even pay attention to the news today? Does she know we’re about to go ino yet another international skirmish. For the love of Pete.

McCain’s Campaign Manager, Rick Davis, spoke on “Fox News Sunday,” said the campaign would make Palin available on its own schedule.

“She’s not scared to answer questions,” Davis said. “But you know what? We run our campaign, not the news media. And we’ll do things on our timetable.”

“Why would we want to throw Sarah Palin into a cycle of piranhas called the news media that have nothing better to ask questions about than her personal life and her children? So until at which point in time (sic) we feel like the news media is going to treat her with some level of respect and deference, I think it would be foolhardy to put her out into that kind of environment.”

Because we need to protect the poor little weak woman? So can she handle herself or not? Is she capable of answering questions about the issues? Are the questions being spoon fed or is this going to be a real interview?

Never mind that we have no real press in this country and that we’re driven and mesmerized by hype. Let’s see what she’s got and move on to McCain v Obama. Who cares about the VPs? Let’s hear about the issues.

And move the interview to another day. Not conveniently on the 7th anniversary of 9/11 and the day her son supposedly gets deployed. Whose bright idea was that?
