From a candidate who promised full cooperation and openess, today comes a husband who will ignore a subpoena. Wow, he went from cool First Dude snowmobile guy, to “you’re one of us and above those silly laws,” pretty quickly.
If I didn’t know any better I’d say Palin has something to hide. The Anchorage Daily News has a story about it.
Funny how just earlier this week, she was saying, “We’re going to make everything more open, and more accountable, and more attractive to those who want to serve.”
When do we stop allowing these guys to be above the law and hold them accountable for their actions? I wonder what would happen to me if I refused or ignored a supoena? What’s going to happen to Todd?
Ignoring a legislative subpoena is punishable by a fine up to $500 and up to six months in jail under Alaska law, but I’d be interested to see if this law applies to The First Dude.
