Palin’s last ditch effort
Filed Under Political Shitheadery | Leave a Comment
Election eve, and Palin’s gotta keep it goin’ with her lyin’.
On a stump speech yesterday, sprinkled with references to God and Fox News - they’re both on her side and shrouded in myth.
Then she let loose the big news with, “You would be so surprised to find out what we found out, even in the last couple of days, 11th hour of this campaign, after two years,” Ms. Palin said. “Eleventh hour here, and more and more light though. Thank the Lord, more and more light is being shown on his plans!”
And what is that light? A secret audio recording you say? Just released you say? Kept hidden by liberals you say?
“You’ve got to hear this tape,” Palin said. “You’re gonna hear Obama saying it, talking about bankruptcy there in the coal industry. He’s explaining all of this to the San Francisco Chronicle.”
One man in the crowd shouted “Liberals!”
But what Liberals? Holy shit! San Fransisco liberals!
“And there must be something about San Francisco and he,” she kept going, while people laughed and cheered. And yes, her sentence ended there.
“Because it’s like I heard on Fox News today, it’s like a truth serum, where when he’s there he seems to be more candid. Remember it was there that he talking about, there you go, the bitter clingers. The cling-ons, all of us, I guess, hanging on to religion and guns.”
Fact is, there’s no secret. The interview has been on the San Francisco Chronicle’s Web site since January, when he sat down with the newspaper’s editorial board. And what Obama is saying is exactly what McCain’s been saying all along.
If the coal industry continues to pollute, they’ll be fined, and will eventually go bankrupt. Pretty clear to me.
The weird part about the speech, is that Palin continues to put down parts of the country she’s trying to lead. How is that a winning strategy? How do you alienate parts of the country as part of you plan to guide and lead?
She may as well have said, “You know those faggy liberals out there in San Fran, with their fruity wine and ass raping, hid this tape from the rest of you. They don’t think you’re smart enough to use the inter-tubes and go to their fancy Web sites and listen to the tape.

Biden fed on that idiot scank from a Florida station. And here he hits a tag team of idiots from a Philly station. This is a guy that can handle himself and take the heat. This is the kind of choice I’ll bet McCain wishes he made.

What happened to John McCain?
Filed Under Political Shitheadery | 1 Comment
I’ve put off asking that question for several weeks. I’ve let the question bounce around in my head and off my walls for a few weeks now. I’ve asked it out loud when I was alone, or thought I was.
“He’s an asshole and an angry old man,” I’d hear occasionally from another room in the house from my wife. She really gets emotional.
I’ve gotten emotional too. This campaign has affected me physically. I let it get to me.
I liked the John McCain of 2000, when he ran against the chimp. I liked the Straight Talk Express and the wise ass comments and late night talk show appearances. I think the late night talk shows liked him too. I think Jon Stewart and Letterman liked him.
I’ve just felt that he sold out. That he was being told what to do and that what he was being told was, “Don’t be yourself, no more straight talk John. We’ll tell you what they want to hear.”
He’s looked uncomfortable. With the exception of Thursday night with Letterman, where he had that, “Whataya want me to say Dave? I fucked up,” attitude that made me trust him. Or at least endeared him to me.
Mike Barnicle wrote an article for the Huffington Post yesterday. What ever you might think about Barnicle, he’s another straight talker, and his article lets me know I’m not alone in my feelings about McCain.
I didn’t agree with everything McCain said, but I appreciated the way he said it. At least I did eight years ago.

They would lie about the time
Filed Under Political Shitheadery | 1 Comment
It’s not so much that they stretch the truth. It’s not that they get a little excited and make some shit up every once in a while and get caught. It’s not even that they interpret things in a way that’s favorable and makes them look like they didn’t really do anything wrong.
We’re being given a choice to vote for people that will lie to us about the time of day if it were to suit their purpose.
In this video Palin just fucking lies. I mean lies. Without any hesitation at all. How is this acceptable to anyone? How do people still manage to see her as a good choice? How does McCain continue to defend her?
She is lying. Not stretching the truth. Not mincing words. Not elaborately explaining how we must have misunderstood the findings and that she was unfairly railroaded by radical liberals on the board that found her guilty and falsified documents. Just lying.

Joe the plumber was on a hell of a ride tonight. He had health care, then he didn’t; he went broke, then he bought a business; his taxes went up, then he wasn’t paying taxes at all.
Joe probably blew his brains out tonight.
Oh there ya go again Joe, being negative.
Joe the plumber, who may or may not be Joe six-pack. That wasn’t discussed last night. But according to McCain, Joe the plumber was going to go out on his own, buy the plumbing company he’s been working for, supposedly all his life, and get completely fucked up the ass by Obama’s higher taxes and health insurance fines. Why? Because Barack Obama is a terrorist and hates small businesses
What McCain forgot to mention was that in order for Joe plumber to see any increase in his taxes he would be making over $250,000. Which would indicate that his business was doing pretty well and he probably had a few employees working for him. A few employees who would need, or at least want, health care. Which Joe could provide and get a 50-percent tax credit.
Now I’m just an average Joe, but it seems to me if Joe the plumber, is making $250, 000 year - that’s him, not his business - that he’s doing pretty well, and may no longer be Joe six-pack. But Joe six-pack will have a job working for Joe the plumber with lower taxes and health insurance - which he’ll need when his liver explodes.
Then McCain tried one more time to let us know that Obama was going to screw us all and drag us into a socialist hell we’ll never recover from.
“[I]f you’re a small business and you … [don’t] adopt the health care plan that Senator Obama mandates, he’s going to fine you. … Now, Senator Obama, I’d like — still like to know what that fine is going to be…” McCain asked. He’s been asking about the fines through two debates now. The fines that Obama’s going to charge to businesses that don’t provide health care.
Here it comes.
Obama looked right into the camera and … “Here’s your fine — zero. I exempt small businesses from the requirement for large businesses that can afford to provide health care to their employees, but are not doing it.”
McCain looked like a shocked guppie. “Zero?”
And as for Joe’s wife, and her “health” as McCain air quoted, getting his arms way up there, seems to be seen, by McCain, as an extreme position, rather than the mainstream position that it is.
What I was hoping to be and what could have been the best question of the night, How is your running mate better than you opponent’s running mate, which gave Obama a wide opening, turned out to be pretty tame.
“That’s really question? C’mon, really? Do I have to answer that? I think the American people have figured that one out on their own,” would have done nicely.

Tonight, the gloves are off. All bets are off. It’s going to get dirty. They’re not going to pull any punches.
Isn’t that what they told us the last time? McCain was supposed to take the gloves off and come out fighting? All I saw was an old guy, who upped his meds, wander around looking for a way back to his chair.
Obama did his usual dodge and at the end of it all, it came down to whether or not they shook hands.
Will McCain bring up Ayers? Will Obama bring up the Keating Five? Will McCain loose his cool and spout off some racial epithet?
Man, one would hope.
Most likely? The same drivel we’ve been hearing for years. Two hours of random crap and the next three days looking through factcheck.org to see who lied, how many times, and about what.
Why doesn’t the moderator have the ability, integrity, and dignity to say, “Whoa, that’s a fucking lie and you’ll need to restate that.”
Maybe if that’d been the case at Olympus High School, Rove would be mowing lawns instead of serving as an idol to douche bags like Schmidt.

A little on Bill Ayers
Filed Under Political Shitheadery | Leave a Comment
We’ve not heard the end of Bill Ayers, at least not form McCain. He keeps coming up as some sort of evil genius that Obama was “pallin’” around with.
McCain released this crazy ad to freak people out about Obama being some kind of subversive terrorist:
“Ayers and Obama ran a radical education foundation together.”
Interesting, because according to Ken Rollings, the boards only executive director:
Ayers “was never on the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge,” and he “never made a decision programmatically or had a vote,” Rolling said.
He (Ayers) was at board meetings — which, by the way, were open — as a guest,” Rolling said. “That is not anything near Bill Ayers and Barack Obama running the Chicago Annenberg Challenge.”
Also, lets not forget that this evil board Obama and Ayers served on was up to no good.
What were they plotting? What evil nefarious plans were they coming up with? What despicable acts were they responsible for?
You know what they were doing? Funding schools.
Funding schools? Holy shit! Terrorist schools? Nope, “radical” peace schools.
Read it for yourself at PolitiFacts.com.
And you gotta wonder, if people gave a shit or got involved and impassioned today the way they did during the Vietnam era, how many Bill Ayers’ would we have running around right now?
Instead we have wack jobs screaming “kill” beause we’re about to have a black president.
Wow, we really have come a long way.
