How is it that we have people running for office who would fake an ad and dub a video to have voters believe that their opponent is “Godless?” Elizabeth Dole (wife of Viagra popping, I refer to myself in the third person, Bob) did that in this ad.
Kay Hagan had to rebut with this one.
Who fakes ads? Who accuses people of this kind of shit? And when did a belief in God become a viable argument for election? And how desperate to have to lie about it?

I love Monty Python

I loved Monty Python when I was a kid. “The Holy Grail” is still on my list of top ten movies of all time, “The Ministry of Silly Walks” was probably one of the first skits I imitated as a kid and I’ve referenced “The Argument Clinic” in posts.
John Cleese is comedic genius in almost everything he’s done. In addition he’s a thoughtful, intelligent guy. Not to mention funny as hell.

After watching that Palin-getting-booed video I gotta say I found it a little odd that she kissed that guy.
Does anyone else find it completely inappropriate for a VP, or even potential VP, or anyone holding that level of public office to kiss a hockey player? Isn’t that more of a Miss America move as oppossed to that of a high ranking government official? Color me prudish, but I wonder what FOX would have said if Hillary did that.

McCain: backpeddling or soul searching?

Okay, don’t bash me, I’m not defending the guy and I’m not condoning what his campaign did. I’ve always thought McCain was a decent guy. Maybe not someone I’d want to be President of the United States, but I liked the McCain 2000 model. The one who ran against the current jackass. The McCain 2008 model seems to have sold out and decided that playing dirty was acceptable.
Some things have changed. Whether this come to Jesus moment is a result of some soul searching or a tactic or strategy (I always screw those two up. John? Little help here) is another question. A question we’re probably going to have to wait to have answered in a few days.
But it’s a small relief to see him showing a little bit of scrupulous behavior.

Holy shit, just like the diner episode I posted, FOX can’t handle reporting. Let’s see, reporting the news is like telling time. Someone asks you what time it is, you look at a clock, and you tell them what time it is, according to the clock. Not what you wish the time was.
